Bingo Training and Session Dates
Locke’s PVA is registered with the AGCO and OLG as a charitable organization through Jackpot City in St. Thomas. We are allotted 2 bingo sessions per month which raises funds for our school and student needs.
We require 2 volunteers per session which is a 2.5 hour donation of your time. In return, we offer $25 per session worked towards your child’s year end grade 8 trip (available to grade 7 & 8 families – volunteers must be 19 years of age or older by law). If you are a parent or volunteer with students in FDK-Grade 6, we offer 2 free hot lunches for your child per session worked. Credits are redeemable on our hot lunch website.
If you are able to assist, we would greatly appreciate your help! The job itself is simple. You attend 10-15 minutes before the session wearing black pants, closed footwear and our Locke’s PVA golf shirt. You roam the room and clean up papers after the bingos are drawn. It’s as simple as that! No selling tickets, no money exchange or floats to provide as in the past. There is a one time “training” session put on by the OLG that you must attend to participate (approx. 1 hour in length). The fall training schedule will be posted once we receive it.
